NEW WORDS IN THE BLESSING OVER THE CANDLES

  1. Under each Hebrew syllable is English equivalent syllable.
  2. Observe the Hebrew and English syllables and read !
    ( Usually the last letter of a word (as in words no. 6,9)
  3. Cover-up the English and read the Hebrew words.
    ( The English syllables: Start with the right box and read from left to right ).

OBSERVE:
A.- The vowel(two dots vertical)

  1. The first syllable in words no. 9, 10, 11 - when the vowel comes in the beginning of a word - it is sounded.
  2. The vowelin words no. 8, 9, 11 - when the vowel comes in the middle, and/or at the end of the word - it is silent.
B.-The letter vav as a vowelvavand as a consonantvav.
  1. Words no. 8, 10 - The letter vavvavas a vowel. ( underscored )
  2. Words no. 9, 10 - The letter vavvavas a consonant. ( underscored )
